Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pre-procedure assessments and prepare patients for electrophysiology, structural heart, lead extraction, ablation, vascular and device procedures
• Administer pre-medications and provide evidence-based patient care during procedures
• Circulate and assist in cases: sterically drop procedural supplies, scrub in, and support the team during interventions
• Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias and assist with mapping and device programming as needed
• Document procedural details and all pertinent information accurately in Epic and on appropriate data sheets
• Provide thorough post-procedure care and patient education to ensure safe recovery and clear follow-up instructions
• Collaborate with radiologic technologists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth, safe procedures

Qualifications

• Active Michigan nursing license (LARA/Nursys) — must be active
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant nursing experience
• Invasive imaging experience — required
• Current American Heart Association BLS
• Current American Heart Association ACLS
• Skills checklist current to within 1 year (document required)
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years (documents required)
• Electrophysiology experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of sterile technique, scrubbing and circulating in procedural suites
• Proficiency with Epic EMR for documentation and charting
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Familiarity with cardiac mapping and device/pacemaker care
• Excellent procedural documentation and attention to detail
• Effective patient education and post-procedure care skills
• Comfort working with multidisciplinary teams in high-acuity procedural environments
