Roles & Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with medical staff, managers, directors, and coordinators to ensure smooth operations
• Perform all pulmonary function testing modalities and assist in developing new testing procedures and policies
• Train and supervise respiratory therapy students during clinical rotations in the PFT Lab
• Maintain accurate documentation, charge capture, and patient registration in compliance with CMS and facility policies
• Assist with daily transaction reports, monthly statistics, and equipment calibration and troubleshooting
• Monitor blood gas lab operations to adhere to CAP guidelines and ensure quality control

Qualifications

• Current New Hampshire license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) required
• Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or as a Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) required
• CPR Certification required
• Three to five years of experience in Respiratory Therapy and Pulmonary Function Testing preferred
• Graduate of an approved AMA school of Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Technologist training program preferred

Education

• Graduate of an approved AMA school of Respiratory Therapy or a Cardiopulmonary Technologist training program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent understanding of pulmonary function testing and respiratory therapy
• Effective communication with all levels of staff
