Physical Therapist - Acute Inpatient
Location: Bakersfield, California
Start Date: 05-27-2026
End Date: 08-26-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
- Help patients recover from TKA, THA, spinal surgeries, CVA, and general medical conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create personalized treatment plans
- Support patients through acute inpatient rehabilitation with compassion and expertise
- Mentor and guide patients on their journey back to independence
Qualifications
- Active California PT license required
- BLS certification
- Acute Inpatient PT experience is required
- Strong clinical skills in orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation
Knowledge & Skills
- Acute inpatient physical therapy expertise
- Experience with post-surgical orthopedic patients
- Neurological rehabilitation skills
- Ability to work across multiple hospital units
- Strong communication and patient education abilities
