Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thoughtful occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based interventions that help patients regain independence and reach meaningful goals
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate excellent, person-centered care
• Document progress clearly and timely, ensuring compliance with facility and payer requirements
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on safe home techniques and use of adaptive equipment
• Adapt interventions to varied settings and caseload needs with creativity and clinical sound judgment

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted California Occupational Therapy license (required)
• NBCOT certification or eligibility (strongly preferred)
• Active BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience in adult rehab, outpatient, or skilled settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a travel assignment
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Entry-level OTD or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent from an accredited program)
• Completion of fieldwork and eligibility for state licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL/IADL assessment and intervention
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment, splinting basics, and home safety recommendations
• Proficient documentation and charting practices
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and manage time effectively
• Collaborative approach to working with PTs, SLPs, nurses, and case managers
• Comfortable with varied clinical populations and changing workflows
