Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs and create individualized occupational therapy plans that make a real difference
• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based interventions to improve daily function and independence
• Collaborate closely with nurses, PTs, SLPs and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document progress, outcomes and treatment plans accurately and timely in the clinical record
• Educate patients and families on techniques, adaptive equipment and home strategies
• Adjust treatment plans based on patient response and clinical goals to maximize outcomes
• Support safe transitions of care and discharge planning with clear communication

Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of practice or ability to obtain licensure quickly
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Clinical experience in skilled therapy settings preferred, with strong assessment and treatment skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with patients, families and staff
• Ability to meet credentialing requirements for contract travel assignments

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) — Bachelor's, Master's, or OTD as required by state regulations

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assessments of ADLs, IADLs, transfers and functional mobility
• Proficient in creating patient-centered treatment plans and measurable goals
• Experience with adaptive equipment recommendations and home modification strategies
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Good clinical judgment, time management and patient education abilities
