Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Bakersfield, California
Start Date: 05-26-2026
End Date: 08-25-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts with rotating weekday call after 4:30 PM, rotating weekends, and rotating holiday on-call
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, and gastric emptying procedures with precision and care
- Operate GE imaging equipment and utilize Radnet & Merge Unity systems to deliver accurate diagnostic results
- Collaborate with an in-house radiologist and supportive lead tech to ensure high-quality patient care
- Float to Mercy Downtown location when needed to support seamless departmental operations
- Maintain safety standards and patient comfort during all nuclear medicine studies
Qualifications
- Active CA NMTL license and current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine experience
- Comfortable working with GE equipment and Radnet & Merge Unity systems
- Team player ready to rotate call and float between nearby facilities
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, and gastric emptying procedures
- Proficient with Radnet & Merge Unity EMR/PACS systems
- Skilled in operating GE nuclear medicine equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and patient communication
