Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, variable shifts as needed

Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to pediatric patients in an ambulatory setting
Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments
Prepare patients for visits by taking vital signs and updating medical histories
Perform clinical tasks such as specimen collection, EKGs, and wound care
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
Document patient information accurately in electronic health records

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
At least 1 year of MA experience preferred, but new grads welcome
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
Proficient with electronic medical records
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
Comfortable working with children and families
