Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care during night shifts
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Assess and monitor patient condition, reporting changes promptly
• Document nursing care clearly and timely in the medical record
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other disciplines to implement care plans
• Support resident comfort, safety and dignity through hands-on care
• Assist with admissions, discharges and shift handoffs to ensure continuity

Qualifications

• Active LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) — Maine licensure preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or equivalent
• Comfortable working independently on night shifts and handling clinical priorities
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Completed Practical Nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation
• Basic wound care and dressing changes
• Patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
• Strong communication, teamwork and time-management skills
• Infection control and safety best practices
