Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients in the Bear Canyon Rehab Center
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
• Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs and responses to care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper documentation with attention to detail
• Adhere to infection control practices and facility policies to ensure patient safety

Qualifications

• Current and active LPN or RN license in New Mexico
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; other certifications welcomed
• Ability to work per-diem shifts, including 12+ hour day shifts
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-first mindset
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to comply with facility health requirements

Education

• Licensed Practical Nurse diploma or Registered Nurse diploma/degree
• High school diploma or equivalent required; ADN or BSN for RNs preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and monitoring of adult medical and rehab patients
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Wound care, mobility assistance and restorative nursing experience
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting
• Infection control, patient safety and regulatory compliance knowledge
