Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and the IR team during interventional radiology procedures with efficiency and calm
• Prepare procedure rooms and sterile fields, ensuring all instruments and supplies are ready
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed and help position patients for optimal imaging
• Monitor patient vital signs and safety before, during, and after procedures
• Provide timely, accurate documentation of procedures, patient status and interventions
• Respond to on-call pages and support after-hours and weekend urgent procedures as part of the call rotation
• Maintain inventory, equipment checks, and strict infection control practices to protect patients and staff
• Participate in Trinity skills checklist and specialty competency testing to maintain high standards

Qualifications

• BLS certification required
• Active license/certification verification as required by facility (must be current)
• Successful completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and Trinity specialty competency testing
• Compliance with required health screenings and immunizations (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, 2-step PPD or IGRA, fit test, physical/health statement, Trinity 10 panel drug screen, color vision)
• Willingness to participate in call coverage: minimum of 14 days of call including 2 weekends in a 6-week scheduling period
• Prior experience as an IR Tech preferred

Education

• Completion of an accredited radiologic/vascular/interventional technologist program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and sterile technique
• Comfort with patient monitoring and peri-procedural patient care
• Familiarity with imaging equipment and safe radiation practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for fast-paced procedure settings
• Detail-oriented documentation and adherence to competency testing processes
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively during on-call and after-hours situations
