Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations (CT and X-ray) of all body parts for interpretation
• Operate and maintain CT and radiography equipment; set up and run automatic injectors
• Follow radiation protection principles and adjust protocols for pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients
• Assist with interventional procedures and sterile technique preparation when required
• Transmit images via teleradiology systems and maintain accurate patient records
• Participate in departmental quality assurance (QA/QC) and daily/weekly equipment checks
• Transfer and assess patients, applying age-appropriate care across the lifespan
• Contribute to supply inventory and ordering and assist with ancillary departmental duties

Qualifications

• Current ARRT (Radiography) certification required
• Clinical competency required within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
• Ability to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modality (CT/X-ray)
• Willingness to rotate shifts and take call with ability to report within 20 minutes
• Comfortable learning and working across multiple imaging modalities as needed (XR, MRI, CT, Mammography)
• Competency in contrast administration, venipuncture, sterile technique, and tele-radiology transmission

Education

• Current ARRT (Radiography) certification
• Clinical competency documentation within 3 months of hire

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiographic examination and diagnostic medical radiography
• Computed Tomography (CT) operation and protocol adjustment
• Radiation safety and radiation protection principles
• Contrast administration and automatic injector operation
• Interventional radiology support and sterile technique
• Quality assurance (QA/QC) and equipment care/record maintenance
• Patient assessment, transfer, and age-appropriate care across the lifespan
• Tele-radiology transmission and maintaining accurate patient records
