Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and radiography exams using prescribed techniques and adjust equipment settings for optimal imaging
• Prepare exam rooms, position patients, and handle contrast material preparation safely and accurately
• Maintain image quality control and document quality control reports for performed procedures
• Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff
• Perform routine cleaning and daily maintenance of x-ray and CT equipment
• Assist with scheduling, answering phones, filing and other general office duties as needed
• Respond to call assignments and provide reliable coverage to support the imaging department

Qualifications

• Completion of formal radiological technologist training in an AMA-approved program
• ARRT registration required
• CT certification required (minimum of 6 months experience in CT is specified)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• MRI experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to relocate to a rural area (required for this role)

Education

• Completion of formal radiological technologist training in an AMA-approved training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in Computerized Tomography (CT) and Radiography/X-ray operation
• Strong patient positioning and contrast material preparation skills
• Familiarity with radiation safety and radiation protection techniques
• Experience with image quality control and diagnostic testing procedures
• Basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting skills
• Good communication and scheduling/office skills for patient coordination
