Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
Monitor and record residents' status including vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly.
Assist with safe transfers and mobility support to promote independence and prevent falls.
Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for residents, following infection control protocols.
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans.
Document care accurately and communicate clearly with residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (or eligible) — state registry requirements must be met for Pennsylvania.
Completion of an accredited CNA training program.
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Comfortable with 8-hour shifts and the physical demands of patient care (standing, lifting with assistance).
Strong communication, compassion, and teamwork skills.

Education

High school diploma or GED required
Completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in activities of daily living (ADLs) assistance and resident personal care
Basic vital signs measurement and observational skills
Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
Accurate charting and documentation practices
Effective interpersonal and team communication
Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
