Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance
• Take and record vital signs accurately, reporting any changes to the nursing team
• Assist with activities of daily living while preserving resident dignity and independence
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the resident chart and communicate observations to nurses
• Support safe patient handling and follow infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful communication

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
• CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset
• Comfort with hands-on patient care and safe lifting practices
• Dependable attendance and a professional approach to resident care

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; state CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, safe patient transfers
• Infection control practices and proper use of PPE
• Accurate documentation and charting habits
• Effective communication with residents, families, and clinical staff
• Time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Empathy, patience, and a commitment to resident dignity
