Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care that maintains dignity and comfort
• Help with feeding, repositioning, and safe transfers using proper techniques
• Document care and observations in resident charts clearly and promptly
• Collaborate with nurses and support staff to follow care plans and promote positive outcomes
• Maintain infection control practices and a clean, safe environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing (state-specific certification preferred)
• Completion of a state-approved nurse aide training program
• Minimum of basic direct care experience preferred; new grads who are eager to learn are welcome
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with patient transfers during a shift

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and assistance with ADLs
• Vital sign measurement and basic clinical observation
• Safe transfer and lifting techniques
• Basic charting and documentation best practices
• Infection prevention and standard precautions
• Team communication and following established care plans
