Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per-diem night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (overnight)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly
Support safe mobility and transfers while following proper body mechanics
Provide compassionate bedside care and emotional support to residents
Document resident care and observations clearly in the medical record
Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
Communicate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members about changes in patient condition

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain
Ability to provide proof of immunizations and pass required health screenings
Comfortable working overnight shifts and adapting to per-diem scheduling
Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first attitude
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen as required by facility

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed approved CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and basic clinical skills (ADLs, vital signs, transfers)
Familiarity with infection prevention best practices
Clear, compassionate communication with patients and team members
Basic charting and documentation in electronic or paper records
Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs during a shift
