Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents—assist with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and mobility
Measure and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
Support safe and comfortable transfers and ambulation for residents
Maintain clear, accurate documentation to ensure continuity of care
Help create a warm, respectful environment that preserves dignity and independence
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care

Qualifications

Current, state-approved CNA certification (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings/immunizations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered mindset
Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively as part of a care team

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
State-approved CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of resident care principles and ADLs (activities of daily living)
Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
Familiarity with basic infection control and safety procedures
Ability to document care clearly and follow care plans
Compassion, patience, and situational awareness in a long-term care setting
