Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe mobility, transfers and basic range-of-motion exercises
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient chart
• Support infection control and maintain a clean, safe patient environment
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — state certification required
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous CNA or direct care experience preferred; strong interpersonal skills required
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by the facility
• Comfort with long night shifts and working as part of a night-focused care team

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• State CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and basic patient hygiene
• Knowledge of safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Familiar with basic vital sign measurement and documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond calmly in urgent situations
• Respect for patient dignity, privacy and cultural sensitivity
