Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per Diem (as-needed), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC (overnight)

Hours per Week: 38

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs and patient observations accurately
Assist nursing staff with transfers, positioning, and mobility support
Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate changes in patient status
Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe patient environment
Support patients and families with dignity, respect, and empathy

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (New Mexico) — required
Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Comfort working overnight shifts and adapting to per diem scheduling
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in basic patient care, ADLs, and mobility assistance
Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and documentation
Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
Ability to work collaboratively with nursing and therapy teams
Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
