Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with daily living activities
• Monitor and document patient vital signs, intake/output, and changes in condition
• Assist licensed nursing staff with procedures and follow care plans accurately
• Support patient mobility and fall prevention with safe transfer techniques
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients and families
• Communicate clearly with the care team to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Respect patient privacy and dignity while delivering timely, hands-on care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico (or eligible to obtain)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Comfortable with overnight/night shift responsibilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered attitude
• Ability to pass facility background checks and any required health screenings
• Previous experience in long-term care or rehab settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care and ADL support
• Taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Safe patient transfer and positioning techniques
• Infection control and standard precautions
• Electronic or paper charting and documentation practices
• Teamwork and effective communication within multidisciplinary teams
