Shift Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday with evening coverage for events; Occasional weekend and holiday event coverage

Roles & Responsibilities

Cover athletic events and after-school activities at the local high school
Prevent, evaluate, and rehab athletic injuries with hands-on care
Manage concussions from assessment to safe return-to-play
Communicate clearly with athletes, parents, and coaches
Provide occupational health services like POETs and functional assessments
Assist as a physician extender in the orthopedic clinic
Analyze injury causes to prevent future setbacks

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology
1+ years of related work experience
Current Athletic Trainer license by the state of Wisconsin
Certification by the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers
BLS certification
Valid driver's license

Education

Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology required

Computer proficiency
Problem-solving as a self-starter
