Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations using fixed and portable radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images
• Position patients accurately and explain procedures clearly and compassionately
• Ensure patient safety and radiation protection following ALARA principles
• Review images for quality and escalate issues to radiologists promptly
• Document procedures and maintain accurate records in PACS/EHR systems
• Collaborate with clinicians and support staff to facilitate timely patient care
• Perform routine equipment checks and assist with quality control tasks

Qualifications

• Current California radiologic technologist licensure or ARRT certification preferred (state-appropriate credentials required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must be obtained prior to start
• Experience performing general radiography; recent clinical experience preferred
• Comfortable with portable/bedside imaging and occasional high-volume periods
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams

Education

• Associate degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program
• ARRT certification or completion of an accredited radiography program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with radiographic equipment and digital imaging systems (PACS)
• Strong patient positioning and radiation safety practices
• Skill in adjusting technique for patient condition and imaging needs
• Familiarity with basic troubleshooting and routine QC procedures
• Good computer skills for charting and image management
• Clear communication skills and a patient-centered approach
