Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Flexible shifts including 8-hour (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM), 10-hour, and 12-hour options with mids starting at 9:00 AM or 10:45 AM; weekend and holiday coverage handled via call rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment and supplies are ready for each procedure
Assist surgeons during a wide variety of cases including total joints, general, vascular, and spine surgeries
Collaborate closely with the surgical team to maintain a sterile environment and support patient safety
Handle CVOR cases such as CABG, valve procedures, pacemakers, lead extractions, and lung surgeries
Document procedures accurately using Cerner Surginet and monitor patients with Phillips Telemetry
Respond to on-call needs to support the OR team during evenings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

Current Surgical Tech certification and strong hands-on experience in the operating room
Proven expertise with total joints, general, vascular, and spine procedures
Comfortable working with Cerner Surginet EMR and Phillips Telemetry systems
Ability to take call (1-2 weeknights per week and roughly one weekend per month)
Flexible availability for 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
Familiarity with a broad range of surgical cases excluding transplant procedures
Ability to work efficiently in both CVOR and Main OR settings
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Quick learner who can adapt to different surgeons and procedures
