Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM, with rotating weeknight and weekend call, plus early start for open heart case prep at 6:00 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain sterile field for cardiovascular surgeries including open heart, thoracic, and vascular procedures
First scrub for CABG, valve replacements, aneurysm repairs, and robotic cases
Assist with ECMO and Impella insertion
Cross-train to general OR specialties as needed
Float to patient floors for 1:1 observation when case volume is low

Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST or NCCT) required
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years CVOR experience with open heart, CABG, and valve procedures
Must be able to first scrub
Willingness to cross-train and float to other units

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and sterile technique
First scrub skills for open heart and thoracic surgeries
Experience with Stryker towers, robotic surgery, ECMO, and Impella
Ability to respond to call within 15 minutes
