Location: Kearney, Nebraska

Start Date: 05-30-2026

End Date: 08-29-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM start, 8-hour or 10-hour shifts with one weeknight call per week until 7:00 AM the next morning and three 24-hour weekend call shifts per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Scrub independently for cranial procedures and neuro-trauma cases
Assist with orthopedic trauma and total joint procedures using advanced robotics
Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment is ready for diverse surgical cases
Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia teams to maintain patient safety
Handle a fast-paced environment with 18 cases daily across 11 OR suites
Maintain strict adherence to facility policies including the artificial nail prohibition

Qualifications

Current CST certification preferred but not required
BLS certification required
Strong experience scrubbing cranial procedures independently
Orthopedic trauma and total joint experience essential
General OR experience with ability to handle neuro, ortho, urology, and ENT cases
Comfortable working in a Level II trauma setting

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with DaVinci robotics, Mako, Stealth, and Scopis systems
Familiar with EPIC electronic medical records
Ability to work independently during neuro-trauma call situations
Strong communication skills and willingness to speak up for patient safety
Positive attitude and adaptable to changing needs in a busy OR
