Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients on a 28-bed PCU/Med-Surg unit
Monitor and titrate drips such as insulin and Cardizem while ensuring patient safety
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and dietitians to deliver holistic care
Float to same-level units as needed, bringing your expertise wherever it's most valuable
Champion hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives that make a real difference
Support patients and families through every stage of the oncology journey with empathy and respect

Qualifications

Active RN license and 1 year of PCU or oncology experience
Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; ONS/ONCC preferred
EPIC experience within the last 6 months is helpful but not required
Willingness to float and adapt to a dynamic mixed-acuity unit
Strong teamwork mindset and genuine passion for patient-centered care

Knowledge & Skills

Chemotherapy administration and oncology protocols
Hemodynamic monitoring including CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, and EV-1000
Ventilator management and ICP monitoring
Comfort with Alaris IV pumps and specialty lift equipment
Ability to pass a 90% open-book skills exam during orientation
