Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed Progressive Care Unit
Titrate cardiac and critical drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Interpret telemetry strips and manage arterial lines with confidence and precision
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients with cardiac, vascular, stroke, sepsis, and respiratory needs
Float to MedSurg or ICU when needed while maintaining excellent patient outcomes and communication
Champion patient experience by focusing on responsiveness, clear medication education, and a healing environment

Qualifications

Active RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Competency managing arterial lines and titrating cardiac drips
Strong telemetry interpretation skills and a flexible, team-first mindset
Ability to arrive within 30 minutes when called in from on-call status
Willingness to complete a pass/fail open-book skills exam during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Cardiac drip titration and arterial line management
Patient assessment across cardiac, vascular, stroke, sepsis, and respiratory diagnoses
Effective communication with diverse cultural populations
Adaptability when floating to MedSurg or ICU
