Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide critical respiratory care to patients across ICU, NICU, and floor units
• Manage mechanical ventilators, high-flow oxygen, and non-invasive ventilation devices
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Perform arterial blood gas analysis and interpret results
• Administer aerosolized medications and chest physiotherapy
• Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and discharge plans

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina Respiratory Therapist license required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• NRP certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care respiratory therapy experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in mechanical ventilation management (GE R860, Draeger, V60, etc.)
• Experience with high-flow oxygen devices (Vapotherm, Comfort Flow)
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to float to all critical care units and floors
