Shift Type: Various shifts available: 8-hour (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM) or 12-hour (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM), midshift Monday-Thursday 10:30 AM - 9:00 PM; plus rotating call (1-4 hours after shift weekly and weekend call every 5 weeks).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room for a variety of surgical procedures including ortho, neuro, GYN, ENT, and robotic surgeries.
• Assist the surgical team with instrumentation, supplies, and equipment, ensuring a sterile field is always maintained.
• Anticipate the needs of surgeons and respond quickly during high-acuity cases such as trauma, orthopedic ORIFs, and ventriculostomies.
• Operate advanced technology including da Vinci robot, stealth navigation, O-arm, and holmium lasers.
• Participate in call rotations to support emergency surgeries after hours and on weekends.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred, but not required
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience
• Must have experience in ortho, neuro, and robotic surgeries
• Valid driver's license (used for radius rule verification)
• Willingness to adhere to facility policies, including fingernail policy

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile technique
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
• Proficiency with da Vinci robot, stealth navigation, O-arm, and holmium laser
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma center
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
