Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and oral hygiene assessments
• Educate patients on proper oral care techniques and preventative practices
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
• Assist the dentist during procedures and treatments
• Document patient care and update dental records accurately
• Maintain sterilized equipment and a clean clinical environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR certification
• Experience in a clinical dental setting preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and infection control practices

Education

• Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene
• State licensure as a Dental Hygienist

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures and hygiene best practices
• Proficiency with dental software and digital X-ray systems
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Time management and organizational skills
