Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate physical therapy services to skilled nursing residents
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Assist residents with exercises and activities to improve mobility and function
• Document patient progress accurately and timely
• Collaborate with the therapy team and nursing staff to ensure quality care
• Educate residents and families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in New Mexico or compact privilege
• 1-3 years of experience in skilled nursing or similar setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a therapy team
• CPR certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and modalities
• Understanding of documentation standards and regulations
• Ability to adapt to changing resident needs
• Team collaboration and patient-centered care
• Proficiency with electronic medical records
