Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
• Take and develop dental x-rays, and create impressions for orthodontic appliances.
• Educate patients and their families on orthodontic care and oral hygiene practices.
• Maintain accurate patient records and schedule appointments as needed.

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred
• Current CPR certification
• X-ray certification as required by Maryland state regulations
• Experience working in an orthodontic practice is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic terminology, procedures, and instrumentation
• Proficiency with dental software and digital imaging systems
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent patient-centered care skills
