Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate dental hygiene care to patients
• Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments
• Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
• Document patient treatments accurately and efficiently
• Assist the dentist during procedures and exams
• Maintain a sterile, safe, and welcoming clinical environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to respond to call-off coverage needs on a per diem basis
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and best practices
• Skill in taking dental radiographs
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Patient-centered communication and empathy
• Effective time management and adaptability
