Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain the highest standards of safety and hygiene
• Take and process dental X-rays, helping to diagnose and plan treatments accurately
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, fostering long-term dental health
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts with each visit
• Provide a welcoming and comforting experience for patients of all ages

Qualifications

• Current Orthodontic Assistant certification is required
• Previous experience as a dental assistant, with orthodontic experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in orthodontic assisting techniques and procedures
• Comfort using dental software and digital imaging systems
• Understanding of sterilization protocols and infection control standards
• Great interpersonal skills to connect with patients and team members
• Attention to detail in patient records and instrument handling
