Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain the highest standards of safety and hygiene
- Take and process dental X-rays, helping to diagnose and plan treatments accurately
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, fostering long-term dental health
- Maintain accurate patient records and update charts with each visit
- Provide a welcoming and comforting experience for patients of all ages
Qualifications
- Current Orthodontic Assistant certification is required
- Previous experience as a dental assistant, with orthodontic experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in orthodontic assisting techniques and procedures
- Comfort using dental software and digital imaging systems
- Understanding of sterilization protocols and infection control standards
- Great interpersonal skills to connect with patients and team members
- Attention to detail in patient records and instrument handling
