Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert emergency nursing care to patients in the ER, managing everything from trauma and stroke to cardiac emergencies.
• Perform triage assessments to prioritize patient needs and ensure timely, life-saving interventions.
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms, stepping in when cardiac issues arise and providing critical care.
• Collaborate with a dynamic team of ED physicians, mid-levels, nurses, and support staff to deliver coordinated care.
• Advocate for patients and their families, providing compassionate care in high-pressure situations.
• Flex as needed, floating to other units you're qualified for and supporting the hospital's needs.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or a compact state
• 2+ years of Emergency Department experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• ACLS certification required
• TNCC and ENPC or PALS certifications
• Experience with Paragon EMR is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and prioritize care in fast-paced environments
• ECG interpretation and rhythm analysis
• Emergency nursing procedures and protocols
• Trauma, stroke, sepsis, and cardiac emergency management
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• EMR proficiency (Paragon)
