Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate residents' speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities
• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals
• Implement therapy interventions using evidence-based practices
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to optimize patient outcomes
• Document progress, update treatment plans, and communicate with families
• Support residents in maintaining dignity and quality of life

Qualifications

• Current California Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligible)
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
• Experience in skilled nursing, post-acute, or similar settings preferred
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical expertise in swallowing disorders, speech, language, and cognitive-communication therapy
• Strong documentation and time management skills
• Proficiency with electronic medical records
• A compassionate, patient-first approach
• Great teamwork and adaptability
