Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with patient exams, bracket placements, and adjustments
• Take and process dental X-rays with precision and care
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and oral hygiene
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth patient flow

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in Maryland
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Previous experience in orthodontics is a plus
• Radiology/X-ray certification
• Ability to provide compassionate patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency with dental terminology and documentation
• Attention to detail and infection control practices
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
