Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist with patient exams, bracket placements, and adjustments
- Take and process dental X-rays with precision and care
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
- Educate patients on orthodontic care and oral hygiene
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth patient flow
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in Maryland
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Previous experience in orthodontics is a plus
- Radiology/X-ray certification
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with dental terminology and documentation
- Attention to detail and infection control practices
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
