Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center
• Provide life-saving care for trauma, stroke, and cardiac emergencies
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, mid-levels, and nurses
• Administer medications, manage drips, and interpret cardiac strips
• Float to the Observation Unit and freestanding ER to support patient care
• Document thoroughly in EPIC charting system

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact
• 2+ years of recent Emergency Room experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications (NRP preferred)
• Recent Level I or Level II trauma experience
• Valid driver's license (required for submittal)
• Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with a 90% during orientation

Education

• BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical knowledge of emergency nursing protocols
• Skilled in interpreting and reading cardiac strips
• Proficient with EPIC electronic health record
• Excellent critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
