Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, self-scheduling with 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms to keep patients safe
Titrate cardiac drips like Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone following physician orders
Provide compassionate care for ED holds awaiting placement on med-surg/tele units
Collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth transitions for patients
Float to med-surg/tele and overflow units as needed to support the hospital
Assist with vitals, IV starts, and medication administration when supporting the ED

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact license
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac telemetry experience within the past 6 months
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam through RELIAS within 48 hours of offer
Comfortable completing a pass/fail SIM lab on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Titration of cardiac drips per protocol
Reading and interpreting telemetry strips independently
Caring for med-surg/tele patients with a focus on cardiac needs
Floating between campuses and units with a positive attitude
