Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling with trades allowed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $73 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units
Independently manage patient assignments while supporting teammates as backup
Titrate Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate drips with precision and safety
Monitor fetal strips and maternal cardiac rhythms using centralized monitoring systems
Stabilize newborns requiring ventilation or CPAP before transfer when needed
Float to other units as a helping hand when census fluctuates

Qualifications

Active Oregon RN license or eligibility for 90-day emergency license
BLS and NRP certifications required
Strong experience in L&D, Postpartum, Routine Nursery, and Intermediate Nursery
Ability to work independently across all areas with minimal supervision
Comfortable jumping between tasks in a variable-census environment

Knowledge & Skills

AWHONN-aligned patient ratios and evidence-based practices
Central fetal monitoring and maternal telemetry interpretation
Titration of induction/augmentation and critical drips
Bubble CPAP and basic neonatal stabilization skills
Block scheduling flexibility and collaborative teamwork
