Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate rehabilitation nursing care for inpatient adults
• Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Administer medications and IV therapy safely and document treatments accurately in Meditech
• Monitor and manage patients using specialty equipment such as IV pumps and specialty beds
• Support patient mobility and safe transfers using lifts and transfer equipment
• Coordinate care around procedures, including dialysis coordination when needed
• Provide clear handoffs and mentor unit staff to maintain consistent patient experience

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state of NC or compact license as required)
• Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience (rehab or med-surg experience highly valued)
• BLS certification required
• Comfortable with IV therapy and common rehab equipment
• Experience with Meditech or similar documentation systems preferred
• Dialysis experience is a plus but not mandatory

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills in rehabilitation nursing
• Proficiency with Meditech documentation and electronic charting
• Familiarity with IV pumps, specialty beds, feeding pumps and lifts
• Ability to work effectively with CNAs, unit secretaries and the broader care team
• Comfort managing multiple patients with typical rehab patient ratios (about 5-6)
• Good communication skills for patient/family education and interdisciplinary coordination
