Roles & Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care to outpatient cardiology patients following established standards and best practices
Assist providers and clinic staff with patient care coordination and clinical procedures
Serve as the primary liaison between patients, providers, and clinic staff to ensure continuity of care
Perform EKG interpretation and monitor for cardiac arrhythmias, escalating concerns per protocol
Administer cardiac medications and document patient responses accurately
Support clinical managers and coordinators in maintaining efficient clinic operations and excellent patient experience

Qualifications

MT Registered Nurse licensure (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required)
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
At least 2 years of cardiac nursing experience preferred
Comfortable with basic office skills and keyboarding

Education

Graduate of nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

EKG interpretation and recognition of cardiac arrhythmias
Knowledge of cardiac medications and common cardiology procedures
Familiarity with basic coronary class concepts
Strong medical terminology and fundamental nursing principles
Patient care coordination and effective communication with interdisciplinary teams
Basic office skills and keyboarding for charting and documentation
