Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by setting up sterile equipment and supplies
• Assist surgeons during a variety of procedures including ortho, neuro, and robotic surgeries
• Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure safety throughout surgery
• Maintain and decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment
• Collaborate with a dynamic team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and techs
• Provide pre- and post-operative care including patient transport and dressing changes

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Florida or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of current OR experience in an acute hospital setting (no surgical centers)
• Strong experience in orthopedics, neurosurgery, and robotics (Da Vinci preferred)
• Willingness to float to general OR as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in sterile technique and aseptic practices
• Knowledge of robotic surgical systems, especially Da Vinci
• Ability to scrub and circulate for various surgical specialties
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
