Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate oncology nursing care to patients on the 8S Oncology unit
- Administer chemotherapy and monitor for reactions
- Replace blood and electrolytes as needed
- Perform CHG baths and linen changes every 24 hours
- Maintain strict intake and output records
- Change dressings every 7 days and lines/caps every 96 hours
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of RNs and PCTs
- Float to Hemeonc and bone marrow transplant units as needed
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas or compact state
- At least 1 year of oncology nursing experience
- BLS certification required
- Chemotherapy certification preferred
- Hemonc background preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Oncology nursing principles
- Chemotherapy administration
- Blood product replacement
- Electrolyte management
- Infection control precautions (neutropenic)
- EMR proficiency (Meditech)
