Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care across multiple MS-Tele units including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, and more
Float within a 60-mile zone to support facilities like St. Catherine Garden City, Bob Wilson Memorial, and St. Catherine Dodge City
Monitor and titrate Heparin drips while caring for adult and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses
Collaborate with designated charge nurses and nursing assistants to maintain safe 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratios
Adapt quickly to new units and patient populations, from post-surgical to psych/detox and stable long-term placements

Qualifications

Active RN license and 2 years of recent MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Neuro experience preferred along with familiarity using Alaris pumps and EPIC charting
Willingness to float throughout Zone 4 and maintain flexibility with scheduling needs

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills across telemetry and medical-surgical patients
Comfort with floating to varied units including ICU holds, PCU/Stepdown, and ED Observation
Ability to read cardiac strips and respond to changing patient conditions
Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced float pool environment
