Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care across multiple specialties including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Renal, Ortho, and Trauma
Float throughout Zone 1 facilities within a 60-mile radius, adapting quickly to new units and patient populations
Manage a 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio while monitoring cardiac drips like Heparin
Collaborate with designated charge nurses and nursing assistants to deliver excellent patient outcomes
Support adult and geriatric patients recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, and receiving specialized treatments

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of MS-Tele experience
Neuro experience preferred
Ability to float within a 60-mile zone and adapt to various acuity levels including ICU holds and PCU/Stepdown

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills across telemetry and medical-surgical units
Comfort with floating to Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Renal, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation units
Experience titrating Heparin drips and managing vents, CPAP, and BiPAP equipment
Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced float pool environments
