Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Bakersfield, California
Start Date: 06-10-2026
End Date: 09-09-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts with rotating weekday call after 4:30 PM, rotating weekends, and rotating holiday on-call
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, and gastric emptying procedures
- Deliver high-quality nuclear medicine imaging using GE equipment and Radnet & Merge Unity systems
- Float to Mercy Downtown location when needed to support patient care across the system
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to a smooth department workflow
- Provide compassionate care while completing 5-10 studies daily
Qualifications
- Active CA NMTL license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine experience
- Comfortable working independently with lead tech support available
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, and gastric emptying procedures
- Familiarity with Radnet and Merge Unity systems
- Experience with GE nuclear medicine equipment
- Ability to adapt to different clinical settings when floating
