Registered Nurse - Oncology Telemetry

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and telemetry patients on a 32-bed unit
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret EKGs using Phillips telemetry equipment
- Administer chemotherapy treatments and manage complex medication regimens
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including charge nurses and oncology resource RNs
- Float to other MedSurg/Tele units as needed while maintaining excellent patient outcomes
- Complete thorough assessments and maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR
- Support patients and families through education and emotional care during treatment journeys
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Chemo certification preferred
- Cerner EMR experience
- Strong EKG interpretation skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment DYS exam and skills validation
Knowledge & Skills
- Oncology and telemetry nursing expertise
- Sterile field maintenance and central line care
- Bipap and Cpap ventilator management
- Patient ratios of 1:4 for focused, quality care
- Team collaboration with PCT support on all shifts
