Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care across multiple MS-Tele units including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
Float within a 60-mile zone to support facilities like St. Catherine Garden City, Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital, and St. Catherine Dodge City
Monitor and titrate Heparin drips while caring for adult and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses
Collaborate with designated charge nurses and nursing assistants to maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6
Adapt quickly to varying patient acuities, including stepping into low-acuity ICU holds when within your skill set

Qualifications

Active RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 2 years of recent MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
Preferred neuro experience along with familiarity using Alaris pumps and EPIC charting
Willingness to float throughout the 60-mile zone and maintain flexibility with scheduling

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills for diverse medical-surgical and telemetry patients
Comfort working with cardiac monitoring, vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and other RT equipment
Ability to read cardiac strips and respond to changing patient conditions
Excellent communication and teamwork in a float-pool environment
