Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized care for patients with epilepsy, brain tumors, and neurological conditions
Monitor 24-48 hour Trend EEGs and detect subtle changes in patient status
Perform comprehensive neurological assessments including cranial nerve evaluations
Manage patients requiring Bipap support and post-operative neurosurgical care
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
Float to MS/Tele units and sister campuses as needed to support patient care

Qualifications

Active RN license with minimum 2 years of experience required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
BSN preferred, Med Surg/Tele certification a plus
Must pass dysrhythmia exam with up to 2 attempts
Clean, professional appearance with natural hair color and no facial piercings

Education

BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
Ability to detect subtle changes in neurological patients
Competency in sterile field techniques for catheter insertion and central line care
Experience with epilepsy monitoring and neurological conditions
Comfortable floating between units and campuses
